With Dinsey and Marvel’s announcement that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever tickets are on sale, they showed off a brand new trailer and poster. This is the second trailer we have seen for the highly anticipated sequel, and it is just as emotional as the first. Plus, on top of that, this trailer gives us a greater look at the trouble that seems to be brewing below the surface as Wakanda deals with the loss of their King and hero.
The trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opens as Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) prepares for her son, King T’Challa’s (the late Chadwick Boseman) funeral. She is helping guide her people through this extremely tough time. We hear Namor (Tenoch Huerta) talk about how good leaders are people who have been broken. This could foreshadow who will be donning the Black Panther suit. We then flip to M’Baku (Winston Duke) preparing his people for the fight against Namor and his people. He even referred to Namor as K’uk’ulkan, the feather serpent god.

It seems that with the passing of T’Challa, Namor has decided that now is the time for him to lead his people to the surface world. But there is a lot in the trailer that suggests that he isn’t the only enemy Wakanda will be facing. We have seen clips of Queen Ramonda speaking at a conference referencing how the world thinks that Wakanda. That they have lost their protector. But they couldn’t be more wrong. Wakanda still has Shuri (Letitia Wright), Okoye (Danai Gurira), War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and even Everett Ross (Martin Freeman).
We also can’t forget that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will also introduce Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) to the MCU. And it looks like she is going to be donning one of her epic iron suits. The trailer comes to a close as a new hero dons the Black Panther suit. This time, we have a better idea of who it might be. And by who, we mean that a female character is taking the mantle, and with the newest poster, it looks like it might be Shuri.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on November 11, 2022. Be sure to preorder your tickets now! Check out the trailer and new poster below. Who do you think will take over the mantle of Black Panther? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
