Netflix continues its roll out of Black Mirror season 4 episode trailers. The Metalhead trailer is the fifth, and penultimate trailer for the season. It’s unique from the others in aesthetic and it will reinforce any fear you have of dogs… and the rise of the intelligent machine.

The Metalhead episode looks to be a thriller in a very big way. It’s presented in black and white, and it will make your blood pressure go up the moment you press play. You see a woman, isolated and under threat. She’s putting out a distress call and says “I can’t talk for long. We found a dog at the warehouse.” That statement alone doesn’t make you shiver, but then you see her screaming and on the run. And, she says ‘”I’ve lost it for now. But my guess is it’s still operational.” And, there’s the rub. Operational. This is not your every day dog. This is a machine. And, based on the following images… it’s a machine that kills.

This trailer is incredibly compelling, and it makes the fact that Netflix still hasn’t announced a release date for Black Mirror season four all the more frustrating. But, it is coming. And, we should all be prepared, because it looks more amazing with every trailer. One left. Stay tuned.
