Singer Billie Eilish is making history as the youngest artist ever to write a James Bond theme song.

At just 18 years old American singer Billie Eilish is once again making history as the youngest artist to write and record a James Bond theme song. After getting all cryptic on her Instagram story yesterday (which has since expired) by posting a series of photos of former Bond actresses, including Eva Green, Halle Berry and Léa Seydoux, fans assumed she might be working on the film.

It was later confirmed by the movie’s offical Twitter account that Eilish certainly was involved with the film. And in a big way.

The account later tweeted a quote from the singer: “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”

Eilish wrote the theme with her brother and songwriting partner, Finneas O’Connell. It was also confirmed that Oscar winning composer Hans Zimmer would be composing the score.

The upcoming Bond film No Time to Die is set to release April 8th, 2020. It will follow Bond (Daniel Craig), who has been coaxed out of retirement to rescue a kidnapped scientist and go toe-to-toe with a mysterious villain armed with a dangerous new technology.
