The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is based on the original Archie comic. You might remember Sabrina the Teenage Witch from the 90s, but it’s nothing like it. It’s more similar to the original comic.

The story itself has more of a fun and dark atmosphere to go with the story. It starts right before Sabrina turns 16.

At 16, witches receive their Dark Baptism. During the Dark Baptism, witches sign over their souls to the Dark Lord. It follows Sabrina and the choices she makes as she’s half-witch and half-mortal.

Unorthodox is written in mainly Yiddish in the beginning, so you’ll have to read subtitles. It’s about a young woman who is born and raised in Brooklyn in a conservative Hasidic Jewish community.

It follows her as she heads to Germany to get away from her loveless marriage. While there, she also heads to a German conservatory to go after her dreams.

While she tries to get away from her past, it’s hard to leave. It also shows her heartbroken husband who tries to find her.
