Welcome back to another installment of GGA’s monthly Anime Roundup, where we cover everything coming out in November 2024 on the most popular streaming services, such as Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu and HIDIVE.
With the year coming to a quiet end, we have very few anime releases to look forward to. The lull in the release schedule is the perfect chance to catch up on the crazy summer releases. It will also leave plenty of time to buy tickets to the final Studio Ghibli Fest showings.

Studio Ghibli Fest Showings
With only one new release, this November is the perfect time to catch the end of the Studio Ghibli Fest showings. This year’s mega-fan festival event is the largest lineup, with an awesome 14 films on the schedule. There are two movies this month to look forward to seeing in theaters again.

Pom Poko (1994)
Pom Poko is a frequently overlooked tale that paved the way for Spirited Away. The tanuki spend their days playing idly in the hillsides and squabbling over food – until the construction of a huge new Tokyo suburb clears the nearby forest and threatens their way of life. To defend their home, the tanuki learn to transform into humans and start playing tricks to make the workers think the construction site is haunted.
This is a limited event and participating theaters will be playing Pom Poko on November 24 and 26, 2024.
The Tale of the Princess Kaguya (2013)
Found inside a shining stalk of bamboo by an old bamboo cutter and his wife, a tiny girl grows rapidly into an exquisite young lady. The mysterious young princess enthralls all who encounter her, but ultimately, she must confront her fate, the punishment for her crime. The story is based on Japanese folklore and is exquisitely animated. If you missed it the first time, you’ll want to see it on the big screen now.
This is a limited event and participating theaters will be playing The Tale of the Princess Kaguya on November 25 and 27, 2024.
