One of my favorite childhood memories was sitting down with a cup of hot cocoa and watching a Christmas-themed episode of my favorite cartoon around the holidays. Just watching the characters celebrate their version of Christmas puts me in a comforting and joyful mood. “Phineas and Ferb’s Christmas Vacation!” From Phineas and Ferb
“Phineas and Ferb’s Christmas Vacation!” is the first episode of Phineas and Ferb that doesn’t take place in the summer. The episode follows Phineas and Ferb as they plan a special rest stop for Santa’s arrival on Christmas Eve. However, it backfires when evil scientist Dr. Doofenshmirtz creates an invention called the “Naughty-inator” that turns everyone in Danville naughty. Thus, Phineas and Ferb, along with their friends, must find a way to turn Danville nice again and save Christmas. It is the most-viewed episode of the series and is known for its memorable songs, such as “I Really Don’t Hate Christmas” and “That Christmas Feeling.”

“Christmas Everyday!” From The Fairly OddParents
The Fairly OddParents‘s first Christmas episode, “Christmas Everyday,” is a chaotic ride from start to finish. After having the best Christmas he has ever had, Timmy Turner wishes for Christmas to be every day. This causes Christmas to be relived every single day. However, Timmy’s wish backfires when the other holiday mascots get revenge on Santa Claus. The episode is worth the watch to see the humorous and chaotic moments unfold.
“A Very Possible Christmas” From Kim Possible
“A Very Possible Christmas” episode involves a lot of action-packed wackiness that you can expect from an episode of Kim Possible. It centers on Ron, who goes alone to stop Dr. Drakken so Kim can spend Christmas with her family. However, things don’t go as planned when Ron and Dr. Drakken end up stranded in the North Pole. Along with her family and Shego, Kim goes to the North Pole to look for them. In addition to the usual Kim Possible shenanigans, this episode includes a fictional Christmas special, a kiss under the mistletoe and a joyful Christmas ending song.
“Arnold’s Christmas” From Hey Arnold!
“Arnold’s Christmas” is the most emotional episode of Hey Arnold! In the episode, Arnold and Gerald work together to reunite Mr. Hyunch with his daughter, who became separated from him during the Vietnam War. The first Christmas episode from Rugrats is a classic one due to being the first Nicktoon special. It has all the characters dealing with their troubles while spending Christmas in a log cabin in the mountains. Tommy wants to prove to Chuckie that Santa isn’t scary by catching him, Angelica pulls a trick on Phil and Lil’s gifts and the adults are trying to get the real Santa to appear on the babies’ first Christmas. This episode will put you on a nostalgic train ride as you engross yourself in the wacky behaviors of the Rugrats gang.
“A Pinky and the Brain Christmas” From Pinky and the Brain
“A Pinky and the Brain Christmas” starts as a usual episode from the series, but it will hit you emotionally. The episode centers on Brain inventing mind-controlled dolls called “Noodle Noogie” to be distributed to Santa’s workshop and delivered to children on Christmas. Meanwhile, Pinky is excited to give his Christmas list to Santa Claus, ignoring Brain’s evil plan to take over the world. The emotional climax where Brain reads Pinky’s Christmas list earned the outing a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Animation Program in 1996.
“Twas the Fight Before Christmas” From The Powerpuff Girls
“Twas the Fight Before Christmas” is a thrilling and action-packed episode about saving Christmas. In this episode, the Powerpuff Girls must deal with Princess Morbucks, who has switched the “nice” and “naughty” lists at the North Pole to make her a Powerpuff Girl, while other children in Danville only get coal. The Powerpuff Girls must race to the North Pole to save Christmas by telling Santa to check his list twice. Along with the action, this episode includes rhyming narrators and references to classic Christmas movies and TV.

“Arthur’s Perfect Christmas” From Arthur
“Arthur’s Perfect Christmas” is a heartwarming Christmas special that will touch your soul. The episode deals with several plotlines for the main Arthur characters trying to have a perfect Christmas. Arthur attempts to give his mother a gift, D.W. wants a Tina the Talking Tabby doll, Francine can’t attend Muffy’s Christmas party due to the last night of Hanukkah falling on the same day and Buster tries to keep up with mom waking up early to plan the holidays. At the end of the day, each character learns to go with the flow and not let high expectations ruin their enjoyment of Christmas.
“Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” From The Simpsons
“Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” is remembered not only as a Christmas episode but also as the first pilot episode that introduced everyone to The Simpsons back in 1989. In this outing, Marge uses Christmas money to remove Bart’s mall tattoo. At the same time, Homer isn’t given a Christmas bonus from his job, causing the Simpsons family to struggle financially over the holidays.
After failing to be a mall Santa and losing a bet in a greyhound race, the most heartwarming moment is Homer adopting a new family dog named Santa’s Little Helper. While the animation and character designs have changed since the pilot, the humorous moments in the Simpsons family made this episode the most memorable.
