Ben Aldridge and Jonathan Groff join Knock At The Door

We have been waiting patiently for more news surrounding M. Night Shyamalan‘s upcoming film Knock At The Cabin. And our patience has been rewarded! Deadline announced today that Ben Aldridge and Jonathan Groff have joined the cast list. They will be appearing alongside Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint and Nikki Amuka-Bird. Shyamalan will be serving as writer, director and producer alongside Universal Pictures.

Shymalan has been pretty tight-lipped about Knock At The Cabin, something we have become quite used to. It is listed as a mystery/thriller which can be said about almost every one of his works. But, no matter how quiet he is about it, we can’t help being excited. His plot twists, suspense and supernatural style have become a staple in his films and one of my favorite things about the director. So, while we are left guessing who or what is knowing on a cabin door/wall/window/floorboard, I know it will be worth it.

As tight-lipped as Shymalan is about the plot, things are even tighter-lipped about the cast. While we know Aldridge and Groff will be in it, we don’t know who they will be playing or how much of the film they will appear in. Honestly, I wouldn’t even know where to start. But, Mr. Shymalan, if I could just throw an idea at you for a moment. I would love it if Groff could wear a crown. And maybe a few cheeky quips about his time as King George. Just a suggestion.

We are a little less than a year from Knock At The Cabin‘s release on February 3, 2023. Hopefully, we will be getting a closer look at what we can expect over the next few months. Maybe a few first-look images and a teaser trailer. What are your thoughts on the casting? What theories do you have so far? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
