Beholder
Beholder is a narrative-driven adventure game from Warm Lamp Games and Alawar Entertainment. Welcome to a grim dystopian future where a totalitarian State controls every aspect of its people’s lives. In Beholder, you are a State-appointed landlord who is expected to spy on your tenants and report suspicious activity. Eavesdrop on their conversations by bugging their apartments while they are away. Snoop through their belongings for anything that may threaten the State. You are expected to report suspicious people and activity to your superiors, but will you?
Are you a loyalist to the regime who reports any wrongdoings to the authorities? Or will you cling to humanity and protect your tenants? Perhaps you only look out for yourself and blackmail renters for your silence. As you interact with characters and complete dozens of quests in Beholder, every choice you make influences the outcome of the game. In other words, you will get the ending you deserve. Will you be a cog in the machine or a wrench in the system?
