Teen Wolf The Movie has officially started filming! Read on to learn what we know about the movie and see EW‘s exclusive behind-the-scenes first look.
As you may know, the original Teen Wolf remake premiered in 2011 on MTV. The show was a major hit, running for 100 episodes and a total of six seasons. The story centered on Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), a Beacon Hills High School student bitten by an alpha werewolf.
This bite gives him super senses, extra strength, and, of course, incredible lacrosse skills. Teen Wolf follows Scott and his friends as they balance high school woes while discovering the supernatural world.
Here’s the official description with what we know so far:
In Teen Wolf The Movie, a full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.
We now know that several actors are returning for the film alongside Posey. The confirmed cast includes Holland Roden, J.R. Bourne, The Walking Dead’s Seth Gilliam, Colton Haynes and Melissa Ponzio, a.k.a Mama McCall. Notably missing are Dylan O’Brien and Arden Cho.
Teen Wolf The Movie will air on Paramount Plus and I’m sure we’ll learn more about the project soon. For now, check out EW’s exclusive behind-the-scenes pictures!
