BBC America has announced that there will be only one season left for Orphan Black after tonight’s Season 4 finale. While this news will bring some sadness to Clone Club members everywhere, there is some light in this darkness. It seems that they are ending the series because the show’s stories are coming to a natural end (at least that’s how I choose to look at it). They’re not going to milk the show for more seasons which would most likely turn out ridiculous and bland. It’s a bold choice and a smart one. Battlestar Galactica did the same thing and they were right to do it.

Here’s what show creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson had to say:

We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters. The past four seasons have been a phenomenal adventure and we are eternally grateful to our loyal fans who have loved the twists and thrills of our weird little show. We are thankful to our partners at Temple Street, and to BBC America and Space for their support and giving us the opportunity to end on a high.

Although the show may be ending next year, I’ll be Clone Club 4-Evah with dance parties all the time!
