The CW has canceled another Arrowverse series. Sad news Bat-Family, Batwoman will not be returning to our screens for a fourth season. According to a report from TVLine, season three averaged around 760,000 viewers, which is a nearly 20 percent drop from the previous run.

Caroline Dries, the showrunner for Batwoman, announced the news on Twitter Friday, April 29. She said, “Just got the sad news that Batwoman will not be seeing an S4. I am bummed, but full of gratitude. What an honor to make 51 episodes. So many inspiring, brilliant people contributed to this series. Thank you, producers, cast and crew. Thank you, fans! *Season Three Spoilers*

When season three ended, many aspects of the story saw completion. For example, the Bat Team diverted the acid bomb-laden blimp to a less populated area. However, a few things were left open, including the last episode’s final moments, which showed someone brutally murdering Dana Dewitt (Allison Riley). After the careless act, the shrouded figure limps away, leaving only blood and questions in their wake.

With the sad news fresh on fans’ minds, it seems like a fitting time to binge-watch the existing three seasons to pay homage to the beloved characters and the people who brought them to life.
