Barony has been around since 2015 so it’s an oldie by today’s standards. I’ve spent some time with it over the last 3-4 years and even though I liked it right from the start, (see my text review, here) after playing it more and more, it has aged like a fine wine suitable for royalty, or at least this short man.
Barony is designed for 2-4 players by Marc Andre and published by Matagot Games. Players are competing to become the highest-ranked royal in the land by taking turns performing one of six different actions. Actions include building cities, recruiting knights in those cities, moving those knights around the board, converting those knights into villages or strongholds to gain resources, and cashing those resources in to advance along the royalty (score) track. The royal with the most points wins at the end of the game.

I recently made a playthrough video, as well as a recap and review for Barony, so I figured I’d share those with you, my fellow tabletop nerds. Like to hear it? Here it goes.
