The entire time I knew him, he only ever had one goal: to wipe out half the universe.

Thanos (Josh Brolin) is on his way to Earth and all of Marvel’s line-up must come together to defeat him. Gamora (Zoe Saldana) gives a quick run down of who Thanos is and explains how imperative it is that he not get all of the infinity stones. He already has two: the Power Stone (purple, stolen from Xandar) and the Space Stone (blue, taken from the tesseract). The stones that must be defended: the Mind Stone (yellow, inside Vision’s (Paul Bettany) head), the Reality Stone (red, in the Collector’s (Benicio Del Toro) possession), the Time Stone (green, inside Dr. Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) Eye of Agamotto), and the Soul Stone (unknown).

The epic trailer sees the whole group, from the original Avengers to the Guardians to the Black Panther‘s (Chadwick Boseman) guard, meeting and joining forces with Dr. Strange, Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) against Thanos.  There is instant camaraderie between some, but will there be any friction? It appears to be at least some, between Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) – the two are so similar that Stark is getting a little bit of his own personality thrown back at him and not appearing to like it.

Get ready for a little comedy with the action. Avengers: Infinity War looks to be an epic movie with familiar settings, but that, as Stark points out, is going to be a good thing: the Avengers will be on their home turf to take on Thanos!

The imagery and focus on various characters’ hands is hard to miss. From Iron Man‘s suit thrusters to Dr. Strange activating the Eye of Agamotto to Shuri’s (Letitia Wright) holographic projection to little Gamora grabbing Thanos’ hand to Thor‘s (Chris Hemsworth) head in Thanos’ grasp to Steve Rogers / Captain America (Chris Evans) in combat with Thanos and more. The Infinity Gauntlet and its stones are at the heart of this film and the battle for the universe. The question, though, is who survives?

There is so much more packed into this trailer, though. Take a look for yourself and let us know: are you excited? Nervous? Scared?
