AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Releases 5 Stunning Infinity Stone-Themed Posters

Erin Lynch

One of the biggest superhero events is coming soon. Avengers: Infinity War is coming out next month (oh my god!) and we’re taking anything we can get our hands on. In a brand new set posters, we get to see the different team-ups in poster form along with sweet color coordination. Gem coordination perhaps? We still have missing characters from these posters so lets talk about them.

Our first poster has Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Wong (Benedict Wong) and one of the youngest recruits, Spider-Man (Tom Holland). They’re in a red poster which may symbolize the Aether or the Reality Stone. It has the power to transform the entire universe so it fits with most characters. Such as Iron Man creating Ultron, which brought chaos. Wong and Doctor Strange have the ability to manipulate reality with their magic. And Spider-Man is just a teenager. But in seriousness, he’ll be working closely with Iron Man so it makes sense they’re together.

Our second poster has Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Okoye (Danai Gurira). They’re in a green hue which would represent the Time Stone. The stone is currently in Doctor Strange’s Eye of Agamotto. Now this just might be fun with colors as Hulk is green so throwing him on the green poster is funny. None of these character’s arcs have to do with time so much. It may represent regret between Hulk and Black Widow with their time apart?

Our third poster has Captain America (Chris Evans), Winter Solider aka Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Shuri (Letitia Wright), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff). They’re in a blue hued poster representing the Tesseract, otherwise known as the Space Stone. Now we know Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes and Shuri are all connected to one another. But what about Nebula and Mantis? They’re the only ones from space. It’s an interesting choice that may only represent needing to balance out the posters.

Our fourth poster has Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and War Machine (Don Cheadle). They’re in the yellow hued poster representing the Mind Stone. Vision, of course, makes the most sense here seeing as he has the Mind Stone in his head right now. He’s coupled up with Scarlet Witch so they’re together in most of the promotion. Falcon and War Machine are interesting since Falcon partially caused War Machine to lose the use of his legs. And how they’re tied to Vision and Scarlet Witch? Probably just running out of room.

Our fifth and final poster has Thor (Chris Hemsworth) with original Guardians of the Galaxy. They’re in a purple hued poster representing the Power Stone that Starlord aka Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) found in their origin film. They team up and handle the goings on in space though they can’t do much as Thanos (Josh Brolin) already stole the Power Stone. Way to go, Team Power Stone/Space Team.

Notably missing is still Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) along with Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly). Many fans are getting concerned over the lack of Hawkeye in the promotional material. So we’ll have to wait and see what’s going on there. Ant-Man and Wasp have their own adventure soon so they may no play a part in this Avengers film.

In the mean time, check out these awesome posters below! Which ones your favorite? I like the Space Stone one the best only because I’m super biased for Captain America and Winter Solider. Not sorry! Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Avengers news.

Avengers: Infinity War comes to theaters on April 27th.
