Great news fog all you Marvel fans out there.

According to the website, Omega Underground, January of 2017 will see the official production start date for Avengers: Infinity War. They found the information on a professional production website called myentertainment.com.

In fact, the production website lists a log line of the film, which reads, “The film is about the Avengers assembling once again to face the Titan Thanos and his powerful infinity Gauntlet.”

For us, this fully confirms that Thanos will have already constructed his Infinity Gauntlet in some way. Our assumption has always been that Infinity War would see Thanos constructing his Infinity Gauntlet, but here we see that he apparently already has it. If this is the case, then he’s already invaded Xandar for the Power Stone, raided the Collector for the Reality Stone, and ransacked Asgard for the Space Stone.

We know that two of the stones are on Earth. Vision has the Mind Stone and Doctor Strange watches over the Time Stone in the mystical city of Kamar Taj. Perhaps the film starts off with him using the stones he has to secure the two stones we know are on earth.

The big remaining factor here is the Soul Stone. We’re not sure where it is. Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok are all out next year, so it could appear in one of those films. Then again, Black Panther starts production around the same time as Infinity War and hits theatres first, landing on our screens in February of 2018. It’s entirely possible that we won’t see the Soul Stone until that movie.

In the mean time, at least we know that Infinity War is moving forward in just a couple short weeks and hopefully we’ll start to see some behind-the-scenes pics to give us a better idea of what to expect from that film!
