The last time we heard from Starz about Ash vs Evil Dead, they gave us a graphic tease. Today, Starz released a non-graphic one and they once again live up to the term ‘tease’. They teased us hard! In the 31 second video we see Ash, well part of Ash. The best part of Ash. We saw…….a bloody chainsaw! A bloody chainsaw hand! Then we hear Ash (Bruce Campbell) say, “Groovy.” Come. on! The anticipation for a full trailer is absolutely killing me!

Ash vs Evil Dead is currently filming in New Zealand and coming at us this Fall on Starz. The series picks up 30 years after the end of Army of Darkness with Ash still a stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal.
Sam Raimi has said of the project, Evil Dead has always been a blast, Bruce, Rob, and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to tell the next chapter in Ash’s lame, but heroic saga. With his chainsaw arm and his ‘boomstick,’ Ash is back to kick some monster butt. And brother, this time there’s a truckload of it.
