The final season of Game of Thrones is just a couple of weeks away and HBO released a new teaser on Monday teasing the reunion of Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington), among other exciting moments that really focuses on Winterfell.
The teaser begins with Jon at the Godswood and as the camera pans around him, we see Arya standing behind Jon. And that’s all you get of their reunion. This is a big deal because Jon and Arya haven’t shared screen time since season one when Jon gave Needle to his younger sister. Everyone seems to be preparing for the battle. We also get a glimpse of Cersei (Lena Headey) smirking at something Qyburn (Anton Lesser) has said.
Dragons fly over Winterfell as Jon stresses that they need to end this war. There is a glimpse of Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) at the Battle of Winterfell, saying it’s not about loyalty, it’s about surviving. So it looks like the family rivalries are put the rest to fight the dead. We also see the Hound (Rory McCann) looking quite defeated. This is going to be an intense battle! And finally Arya running through Winterfell with a gash on her head. That makes me so scared for her!
