In September we will see what is shaping up to be a grand experiment from the brain trust at Marvel Television. It was recently announced that Marvel and ABC would team up on a brand new series for the Inhumans, focusing on the Inhuman Royal Family of Blackbolt, Medusa, Crystal and others. This is the series that will start in theatres with a two hour premiere shot partially in IMAX before then premiering once more on ABC. The rest of the series will live on network television for the foreseeable future.
With the series premiering in September, it’s likely that we’ll start hearing some casting news in the next few months. However, it’s entirely possible that we got some accidental insight into that. Yesterday, the director for the first two episodes, Roel Reine, tweeted out a picture of himself doing camera tests with the IMAX cameras, simply saying, “IMAX And so it begins. Camera testing a digital IMAX camera for our #Marvel #Inhumans shoot. Especially wide angle lenses. Very cool format!”
Ex-Arrow actress, Elysia Rotaru, then responded to this tweet simply saying —

For those of you who may have forgotten, Rotaru played Taiana in Oliver’s flashbacks to the island where all the weird magic stuff was happening.
The fact that she tweeted in response to that picture saying “… can’t wait,” has more than a few people curious if she means she has been cast in the series and cannot wait to star filming. We should note here that there’s been no confirmation from anywhere about this — it’s pure speculation.
While it’s likely that ABC is doing screen tests for Inhumans, it seems a little unlikely that they’d already have their cast fully in place. It seems more likely that Rotaru is a fan of Marvel and DC Comics and is excited for the series. However, we could also be completely wrong.
That being the case, if she turns out to be a series regular for the show, she’d most likely be either Medusa or Crystal. Medusa is queen of the Inhumans and wife to Blackbolt, the King. Her power is that she has super strong prehensile hair. Crystal is Medusa’s sister and has elemental powers, sort of like Aang in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
He has two cats and knows all things about Doctor Strange but little else.
