While we had gotten strong hints, it’s official. Arrested Development will be coming back to Netflix for it’s 5th season. Variety and other sources were able to learn that the show would be returning. Star Jason Bateman gave the head’s up when he tweeted that he signed on for more episodes.
According to the press, the series is set to return in 2018. The even better news? Creator Mitch Hurwitz along with the entire main series cast will be returning! While the fourth season suffered from scheduling conflicts, the producers have learned from it and have gathered the whole crew at once.
Hurwitz expressed his excitement. “In talks with Netflix we all felt that that stories about a narcissistic, erratically behaving family in the building business — and their desperate abuses of power — are really underrepresented on TV these days. I am so grateful to them and to 20th TV for making this dream of mine come true in bringing the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille and the kids; Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who am I forgetting, oh Tiffany. Did I say Tiffany? — back to the glorious stream of life.”

God I’ve missed this show. Hurwitz will serve as executive producer with Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Jim Vallely and Richie Rosenstock. Yes, even Ron Howard is back! He added to the excitement as well saying “Warming up my uncredited narrator vocal chords. Now the only thing I will have to be coy about is all the craziness the Bluths are going to face this season.” Netflix is knocking it out of the park. We’re going to see more Bluths, everyone!
