Las Vegas has fallen prey to the zombie apocalypse! Netflix released an official teaser for Zack Snyder‘s post-outbreak heist thriller Army of the Dead on Thursday. Here’s a synopsis from the streaming giant’s media site:
Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.
Army of the Dead is the brainchild of Snyder. Shay Hatten and Joby Harold penned the script alongside the filmmaker. Snyder seized the director reins. The flick stars Dave Bautista, Tig Notaro, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Raúl Castillo, Michael Cassidy and Garret Dillahunt.
Now, the teaser doesn’t unveil much beyond scenery riddled with the walking undead. Just lots of zombies everywhere. Additionally, because it takes place in Sin City, we see moments wherein zombies are ravaging gambling casinos and slot machines. There’s even a zombified Elvis impersonator among the ranks of the turned. We don’t see Notaro’s Marianne Peters, but perhaps that’s being kept under wraps for the full-length trailer.
You can watch all hell break loose in the Army of the Dead teaser below. Bear witness to the greatest heist in history when Army of the Dead premieres Friday, May 21, only on Netflix.
