Earlier today, Ryan Reynolds in full Deadpool make-up posted his impression of Hugh Jackman on Hugh Jackman’s twitter account. It seems that the two actors were in cahoots on the joke.

Here’s what we know or, at least, we know to be rumored.

Ryan Reynolds has returned to Canada to do reshoots for Deadpool.

Hugh Jackman is rumored to be in Canada to do some reshoots for X-Men: Apocalypse, once more taking up his role of the mutant Wolverine.

The Deadpool writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, in an interview with Collider, said that there was this amazing post-credits scene that they were hoping would come together.

So, what if, the amazing post credits scene they wanted to do will see Ryan Reynolds reuniting with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. With much of the comedy in Deadpool coming from his fourth-wall breaking awareness, we’re guaranteed to get some great jokes about his appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, where we saw the Merc with the Mouth get his mouth sewn shut and blindly following orders.

This never sat well with Ryan Reynolds, who’s a huge fan of Deadpool and felt like this was a direct violation of what fans wanted to see from the character.

And he was right, by the way.

And now he’s getting to prove that to the very studio that wronged his character in the first place.

For what it’s worth, our money is on a post-credits scene with Wolverine.
