“Are we just jumping right into this?” Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) asks immediately as the episode opens. Cheryl (Judy Greer) stops beating him with her purse and sits down in the nearest chair. It seems, the heiress wants his help in faking her own death. Sterling scoffs. He doesn’t have time for this. He’s had a long day. However, Cheryl stops him. He’ll get $10,000 and her body if he helps her. “It’s non-negotiable,” she says, tearing her shirt open.
“When I said do your worst…” Cheryl says, turning to Archer as they put their clothes back on. Archer winces while he buttons his shirt, “Like I said, long day”.
Later, they discuss the details of the case over a greasy late night dinner. Sterling rattles off what they’ll need… a body, ideally with Cheryl’s exact same dental records. The drunken heiress claps excitedly. Consequently, there’s already a body in the trunk of her car. Cheryl rubs her hands together as she looks him over. “Now, let’s load this car with dynamite, and blow it sky-high… wait, that would blow her teeth all over the street”.
While they finalize their plans, Barry (Dave Willis) sobs. The ever suffering secret agent lays in a hospital bed, both his feet amputated at the ankle. “They took my feet Lenny!” He cries. However, Barry swallows back his emotion as Len Trexler (Jeffrey Tambor) slaps him repeatedly.
Meanwhile, Cheryl and Archer carry the body up to her hotel room. Luckily, the obtuse doorman believes that “Berenice” is “dead drunk”, and that they’re carrying her upstairs so she can recover.
Across town, Lex Trexler talks with Cyril (Chris Parnell) and Pam (Amber Nash). The crime boss needs the two police officers to find his missing prostitutes. However, Pam has a secret. The women are still living with her.
Later, Cheryl reclines in bed, her blankets pulled up under her arms. She puffs on her cigarette as she looks to Archer, “So who killed your partner?”. Archer sits next to her, basking in a post-coital glow. Meanwhile, Berenice slumps in a chair across the room. A serving platter covers her face.
Later, Cheryl and Archer are back in the car as he pulls up in front of Dreamland. While Cheryl berates him for stopping, Archer catches sight of something interesting. Another car idles in front of the club, a penis is carved on its bumper. This is the same dirty cop car from Len Trexler’s hideout…
While Archer enters the club, Cyril and Pam talk with Mother (Jessica Walter). The woman seems to be playing all ends from the middle. Furthermore, as Sterling talks with her, he’s beginning to question her motives. Could she have been responsible for tossing his office?
Later, Archer and Cheryl return to the car. There’s a dead woman in the trunk, and there’s still a wreck they need to stage. However, Cheryl won’t shut up. She insists someone is following them. While they’re finally about to push the car over a high ledge, another vehicle suddenly careens into their path, hitting Archer. Cheryl pulls out a gun and opens fire at the middle aged couple who rush to help. Archer winces from where he’s cradled in her arms, “So you’re just straight up crazy…”.
However, Archer finally realizes they were being followed. A car idles near-by and the driver waves, “Hello!”.
Archer Dreamland airs Wednesday nights on FXX.
