ARCANE Updates: Exciting Season 2 Trailer, Images, and Clip

Highlights

  • The highly anticipated second (and final!) season of Netflix’s Arcane premieres in November.
  • Riot Games released an official trailer in June, followed by several Season 1 DVD and Blu-Ray editions, an artbook, and the soundtrack on vinyl.
  • More recently, a Season 2 clip featuring Heimerdinger (Mick Wingert) and Ekko (Reed Shannon) infiltrating Piltover dropped.

Sisters No More

Arcane Season 1 left us with Jinx (Ella Purnell) launching a massive explosive device at Piltover’s Council chamber while Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Caitlyn (Katie Leung) watched helplessly.

The Season 2 trailer gives us glimpses of the fallout, indicating that the weapon successfully killed the Council which included Caitlyn’s mother, Cassandra (Abigail Marlowe), and Mel Medarda (Toks Olagundoye) whose mother, Ambessa (Ellen Thomas), is a warlord and out for vengeance.

Caitlyn is also looking to strike back at Zaun. She musters the Enforcers, enlisting Vi, and setting her sights on wiping out all of Silco’s (Jason Spisak) loyalists.

The trailer sets Season 2 up as all-out war between Piltover and Zaun, with the Enforcers marching in and Jinx’s dangerous inventions meeting them with deadly intent. Of course, at the heart of this story is Vi and Jinx’s relationship.

Can the sisters ever find their way back to each other or are they destined to be each other’s downfall? And what will January’s reveal that Vander has been reincarnated as Warwick do to them?

Meanwhile, the newest clip shows that Heimerdinger and Ekko have their own shenanigans which involve sneaking back into Heimerdinger’s former place of work. Keeping in mind that Ekko can literally stop time, I’m not so sure all the sneaking is necessary. Especially since Heimerdinger doesn’t appear to be very good at it.

Can you stand the anticipation? Who are you hoping to see in the fray? What about Viktor and Jayce? How many Champions will we lose to the war?

Arcane Season 2 arrives on Netflix in November. In the meantime, relive the awesome by streaming Arcane Season 1 on Netflix.
