You know how X-Men: Apocalypse has been filming for a few weeks now? Well, none of that has included the titular villain of Apocalypse… until today. Bryan Singer posted a picture to his Instagram earlier today showing off the chair held for the almighty, ancient villain, to be portrayed by Oscar Isaac.

Apocalypse, who’s lived for thousands of years, was originally born in ancient Egypt with the name original name of En Sabah Nur, which translates (according to Marvel) as “The First One.” He has the power to greatly alter his mass and change his molecular make-up, as well as having the intellect of a genius who’s lived for five millennia. Oh, also, he’s super-strong. So, yeah, he’s not going down without a fight.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theatres in May of next year!

Today! #Xmen #apocalypse awakens.
