Abbott and Costello. Thelma and Louise. Mackie and Stan. What do these epic pairings have in common? Well, nothing really, besides being iconic duos. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan recently sat down with Bustle to answer questions about each other. They put that friendship knowledge to the test! So, how did they do? Read on to find out!

Now, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier pop quiz opened with a simple question: what was their first scene together? Stan recalls their initial encounter while filming Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But when did they first meet? Mackie believes they met at a party. Most likely a swanky Hollywood premiere.

Next, the pair were asked if they knew when their co-star’s characters made their respective comic book debuts. Stan surmises that Falcon first appeared in the 1970s. In fact, it was September of 1969. However, Mackie retorts that he doesn’t do research on other people’s characters as it’s “intrusive and stalker-y.” (The Winter Soldier premiered as a character in March 1941.) Typical Mackie!

Then, Mackie and Stan, for the most part, correctly remember each other’s birthdays. Stan briefly forgets that his first TV credit was in 1994, not 1992. Mackie regales us with a tale of his first TV role from 2001 that was unpaid and had zero speaking lines. But he did get a credit for it. Time to reach out to SAG and get those residuals!

Stan had to guess the two films Mackie was in that snagged Best Picture nods. The Hurt Locker and Million Dollar Baby, of course! Fun fact: Morgan Freeman punched Mackie in the face. We learn that Stan’s Best Picture nominee appearances include The Martian and Black Panther (he was in it briefly). Hey, I, Tonya was nominated for a Best Picture Golden Globe!

Now, the pair try to guess the other’s favorite tune. Apparently, Stan is really into “MMMBop” by Hanson. Mackie digs the Beverly Hills Cop theme song. Lastly, the duo talks about their characters’ nighttime routines. Stan believes that Sam Wilson (Falcon) would carefully hang up his clothes and wear pajamas. He’d also make his bed. Meanwhile, Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier) wouldn’t sleep. Mackie surmises that Bucky would simply sit and brood every night. Possibly while lifting weights.

You can watch the Bustle interview below. I’m already in love with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and most of that love is because of this pairing. Stan and Mackie are good buddies in real life. Mackie’s extroverted personality perfectly complements Stan’s introverted tendencies. They’re a match made in heaven.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is available to stream every Friday on Disney Plus.

Long live “Chocolachino” and “Sexy Seabass.”
