According to Marvel.com, Marvel Studios is shaking up their MCU Phase Three slate a little bit by putting in a sequel to this Summer’s hit film, Ant-Man, starring Paul Rudd. Even better than that, the sequel is being called Ant-Man and the Wasp! It will see the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, a.k.a. The Wasp.
Marvel.com notes that this is “the first Marvel Studios film named after its heroine.” And, though it’s sad that it’s taken this long to accomplish it, at least we’re finally getting there!
The sequel is slated to hit theaters July 6, 2018. To make room for the sequel, they had to do some shuffling.
Black Panther will now come out February 16th, 2018
Captain Marvel will now come out March 8, 2019.
Also, marvel.com announced that there are three untitled films landing on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020 and November 6, 2020.
