We Got Another Track from BLACK PANTHER: THE ALBUM and It’s Fire

This album is so good and we’ve only heard three tracks! Yesterday, Kendrick Lamar dropped another song from the upcoming Black Panther: The Album soundtrack. This time, it was his track with The Weeknd called “Pray For Me” and I can’t stop playing it. The beat is infectious, the flow is addictive and it’s just so good. We’re getting really spoiled with this album and it’ll be released next week!

Released on YouTube last night, the song features the second team up of Lamar and The Weeknd with the first being on the latter’s explosive Starboy album. While The Weeknd croons over the track, Lamar is in there with a rap verse. The futuristic dance beat fits both the vocalization and rap so well they could’ve been separated and it would completely work. The song was produced by Sounwave, CuBeatz, Cardo and Matt Schaeffer and I’m on board for anything else the four of them come up with.

As said in other song releases, we don’t know which songs will make an appearance in Black Panther but I would love to hear this one in there. The beat is just so unique and futuristic sounding, it would fit perfectly with the afrofuturism of Wakanda. Have I mentioned how much I enjoy this song? You definitely need to hear it. It will make you want to shout “Wakanda Forever!”

What do you think of the song? Are you going to replay the crap out of it until Black Panther comes out? Let us know! Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Marvel news. Black Panther: The Album debuts on February 9th. The very highly anticipated Black Panther follows a week later on February 16th.
