With Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches already thriving on AMC, it’s only fitting that the network is launching another installation in the Anne Rice Immortal Universe. John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and Mark Lafferty (Halt and Catch Fire) will act as writers, executive producers and co-showrunners for the new series, The Talamasca. Hancock will also direct.

The Talamasca

The new series follows the Talamasca, a secret society that tracks and contains witches, vampires, werewolves and other creatures. Fans of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches have already met a few members of the organization. In Interview, journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) sought out the Talamasca to help with his interview of Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson). Another agent assigned to monitor Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario) also appeared in season 1 of Mayfair Witches.
