Welcome back to another installment of GGA’s monthly Anime Roundup, where we cover everything coming out in March 2024 on the most popular streaming services, such as Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu and HIDIVE. We have made it to the end of the winter anime season, and the releases have slowed quite a bit as the world winds up to launch the new spring season. The release schedule has slowed to a trickle, with only one anime coming out on Netflix this month.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series will mark the first time an animated Pokémon series will not star Ash Ketchum with his time coming to an end last year in the Pokémon Journey: The Series. Join Liko and Roy in the vast world of Pokémon as they travel through the Canto region. Liko is a student at Indigo Academy, where she’s learning to become a better Pokémon Trainer alongside her partner Pokémon, Sprigatito. She embarks on a journey to explore the world’s mysteries and is joined by Roy, another young Pokémon Trainer who travels with Fuecoco as his partner Pokémon.

This series will feature Pokémon who debuted in the most recent video game release from the franchise, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet on Nintendo Switch. In the newest trailer, linked below, we can spot the two new protagonists back in Ash’s old stomping ground along with a host of familiar Pokémon and fresh faces like a new streamer character named Nidothing.
