Welcome to the second half of the July installment of GGA’s monthly anime roundup for 2023, where we give you a detailed list of what anime is coming your way. July is the kick-off for the summer anime season, so there is a lot to cover this month. This list will cover everything coming out after July 7, while our first list covered the first week. We still have a lot to cover, so let’s get straight to it.

Liar, Liar – July 8

At Academy Island, students battle in Games to win stars, hoping to earn the prestigious title “Seven Star.” Sarasa is last year’s champion and is on track to win again until Hiroto, a new transfer student, hits the scene. Surprisingly, Hiroto defeats her by sheer luck. Now, he must use bluffs and trickery to stay on top.

Sato Ryota, a salaryman working for an exploitative company, suddenly finds himself inside an unfamiliar dungeon in a strange world where monsters drop all sorts of items as loot. Familiarity won’t save him from having some of the weakest stats, but a strong skill might. The strongest and weakest adventure of all is about to begin.

TenPuru – July 8

Akagami Akemitsu has spent his days and nights absorbed in studying and part-time work to distance himself from his family, which is notorious as a household of philanderers. One day, he falls in love at first sight with a girl named Aoba Yuzuki, and suddenly he’s constantly drowning in worldly desires.

TenPuru will be streaming on Crunchyroll starting July 8. 

BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War (Part 2) – July 8

One of the biggest anime ever is back. BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War will continue Ichigo Kurosaki’s journey from where it left off at the end of the original series over a decade ago. 

The second part of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War is set to broadcast on Hulu starting July 8.

Classroom for Heroes – July 9

At a school for heroes-in-training, one boy with a legendary secret joins the student ranks. Classrooms for Heroes will be in session on Crunchyroll starting on July 9.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead – July 9

In a trash-filled apartment, 24-year-old Akira Tendou watches a zombie movie with lifeless, envious eyes. He can’t even muster the courage to confess his feelings to his beautiful co-worker Ootori. Then one morning, he stumbles upon his landlord eating lunch—which happens to be another tenant. The whole city’s swarming with zombies, and even though he’s running for his life, Akira has never felt more alive.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead will premiere on both Hulu and Netflix starting July 9. 

Dark Gathering – July 10

Keitarou Gentouga is a college freshman who hates ghosts. Unluckily for him, he has a knack for attracting spirits. Even worse, he takes on a part-time job to be a private tutor to a young girl who seeks ghosts out. 

Dark Gathering will be haunting the HIDIVE catalog starting July 10.

Synduality: Noir – July 11

In the year 2222, it has been some time since the poisonous rain gave birth to deformed creatures devouring humans. As means of survival, the humans then build an underground haven, Amasia. In this newly built dystopian city, in pursuit of maintaining their existence, they run into an Artificial Intelligence named Magus. Not knowing how things will work between them, the story of how Humans and AI coincide and try to find their truths begin.

Synduality: Noir will be streaming on Hulu starting July 11. 

Helck – July 12

While humanity celebrates the defeat of the Demon King at the hands of a lone hero, the denizens of the demon world prepare for the contest of a lifetime—a tournament to decide who will inherit the title of Demon King.

Helck will begin airing on HIDIVE starting July 12. 

Bungo Stray Dogs (Season 5) – July 12

Detective employees are caught one after another, and Kamui, the leader of Tenjin Goshui, is closing in on the Armed Detective Agency. Will the Agency survive?

The fifth season of Bungo Stray Dogs will start on Crunchyroll on July 12.

Saint Cecilia & Pastor Lawrence – July 12

Saint Cecilia graciously guides the churchgoers of a quaint town with insightful advice. But once the pews are empty, the sweet saint becomes adorably lazy. Lawrence, the overprotective pastor, can’t help but dote upon the listless girl. While the unlikely pair leads a simple life together, Cecilia develops a secret crush on the oblivious pastor.

Saint Cecilia and Paster Lawrence will be streaming on Crunchyroll starting July 12.  

Record of Ragnarok 2 (Part 2) – July 12

The 13 one-on-one battles between representatives of gods and humans across the entire world for the survival of humanity begin once more! Blood flows, and fists fly in these intense battles of strong convictions. 

The second part of Record of Ragnarok 2 will begin streaming on Netflix on July 12. 

LINK CLICK (Season 2) – July 14

Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi’s work comes with some risks, but no one could’ve guessed what’s been unraveled. After being possessed by a mysterious killer, Qiao Ling attacked Lu Guang. Now, his life is on the line. Cheng Xiaoshi is ready to do whatever it takes to find the murderer and prevent another tragedy. But this unknown assailant might be more powerful than they think.

The second season of LINK CLICK starts streaming on Crunchyroll beginning on July 14.

Baki Hanma (Season 2) July 26

Bastard‼ Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy (Season 2) – July 31

When evil forces threaten to resurrect Anthrasax, the God of Destruction, the Kingdom of Meta-llicana calls on a volatile dark wizard for help.

The second season of Bastard‼ Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy will come to Netflix on July 31.
