I got to interview the legendary TV producer/animator, Bruce Timm, this weekend at Wizard World New Orleans, for conTV.

When asked about his upcoming projects, all he could tell me was that WB Animation’s next project was Batman: The Killing Joke and that it’d be out this summer. More specifically, “We’re actually going to be premiering it at San Diego Comic-Con.”

He also added to this, saying, “The one big difference about it, as opposed to those other projects (The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 & Part 2), is The Killing Joke… the source material is really not long enough to make an entire feature film out of. So we actually had to add a lot more story to it. Which is tricky. But I think we came up with a really good solution on how that worked.”

So, not only are we getting a new Batman Animated Film, but we’re getting a more fleshed out Batman Killing Joke! Hopefully that means we’ll have more time on the Joker’s throne of baby doll parts.
