It feels like yesterday we were getting our first look at Animal Crossing: New Horizons fall Halloween update. I hope everyone got to enjoy the spooks because today Nintendo released a brand new video showing off the new winter update! Like previous updates, this one is completely free and brings along fun events for November and December, new friends to meet and so much more. The best news? The update comes out on November 19, 2020! Let’s break down all the fun stuff coming over the next two months!
Events
The first event we will be celebrating in the new update is, of course, Turkey Day. It will be held on November 26 and feature a festive party with all of your villagers. We also get to meet the first-class chef Franklin who is ready to cook up some yummy dishes for our party. Then, on December 24 we get to enjoy Toy Day! Decorate your island with festive holiday trees and light up lawn decorations in preparation for Jingle! He needs help delivering presents and he knows exactly who to ask! So get ready to jump headfirst into the holiday season and decorate those islands!

New Nook Items
The winter update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons also brings us two additional items that can be bought with Nook Miles. The first is the hip reaction collection which adds nine new reactions! This includes sitting down, waving goodbye, taking a picture with the Nook phone, sniffing the smells around us, working out, yoga, presenting to others, excited and ta-da! So many new reactions to share how excited we are! The next item is a brand new hair collection with six new hairstyles! Our in-game avatars can now have space buns!
But Wait There Is More!
Events, friends and new items aren’t the only things coming to this update in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Players are now able to chat with Tom Nook to increase their home storage from 1600 to 2400 spaces! Now you no longer have to practice the organizational tips from Marie Kondo! Well, that is until you fill up those spaces with more exciting items. We are also getting the long-awaited save data transfer which will allow players to move their entire island to a new Nintendo Switch!
