In an interview with ComicBook.com, Ant-Man’s director, Peyton Reed said that he’d love to do a second movie involving the Ant-Man family of characters. In fact, he’d love to do a prequel, tell the story of Hank Pym back in the 50’s/60’s when he and Janet Van Dyne were being super heroes with Agent Carter. In Reed’s words,

“Listen, if we were lucky enough to be able to do a sequel or even a prequel, I’d be way into it. I’ve really fallen in love with these characters. I was always in love with the characters in the comic book world but there’s a lot of story to tell with Hank Pym.”

This is exciting to think about because it really tells us a bit about what’s going on with the up-coming Ant-Man film, giving us a bit more insight into just how big a role Hank Pym’s past as Ant-Man seems to play in it. Also, if we’ve got Ant-Man and Wasp in the past, does that mean we get some more classic characters? Will we see some more of the Howling Commandos?
