American Horror Story: Apocalypse is shaping up to be pretty awesome.  Season eight is a crossover of season one American Horror Story: Murder House and season three American Horror Story: Coven. New additions to the cast were announced at the Television Critics Association press tour this past week, including some AHS favorites! And! The first teaser is available!

New and Returning Cast

Apocalypse stars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Adina PorterBilly EichnerBillie LourdLeslie GrossmanCheyenne JacksonCody Fern and Joan Collins.

Paulson revealed that Jessica Lange is in fact returning to the anthology of horrors. This week creator Ryan Murphy confirmed in a tweet Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks will return as well.

This is very interesting because Lange, Peters, Paulson, Farmiga, Rabe and Conroy all starred in both seasons. Lange will reprise her role as Constance Langdon from Murder House.  Constance survived Murder House to raise her grandson Michael, played by Fern.  Michael will be the main focus of Apocalypse.  We do not know which characters Farmiga, Rabe and Conroy will be playing.

Paulson is playing three characters: medium Billie Dean from Murder House, Cordelia, the supreme witch, from Coven, and a new character named Venable.  Paulson is also directing an episode this season.

In addition to the casting news, there is also a new poster and two teasers for season eight.  I can’t even begin to describe the teasers. You just have to watch it for yourself.
