It looks like we’ve finally got a premiere date for Preacher, the highly-anticipated series out of AMC. Seth Rogen, via his twitter, has announced that it will come out in May of 2016. We also found out, via comicbook.com, that AMC has ordered a ten-episode season.

According to the site, AMC’s President of Original Programming and Development, Joel Stillerman, said,

“Garth Ennis’ Preacher is, above all, about great characters – something we look for in all of our series. The fact that it is also darkly funny, has some great supernatural elements, and takes us on an incredible adventure is just the icing on the cake. The incredible creative team behind this show – led by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Sam Catlin and Neal Moritz – made a pilot that completely blew us away, and we know the series will satisfy and surprise fans of the comics, and captivate fans of great TV everywhere.”

We’ve also got our first look at the key art for the series, with a church turned on it’s head.

Preacher stars Dominic Cooper in the titular role as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as his ex-girlfriend Tulip O’Hare and Joe Gilgun as their Irish Vampire traveling companion, Cassidy.
