The new trailer for season two of Amazon Prime’s The Boys is a wild ride and you’re going want to be on it.

In the series, ‘Supes’ have been committing atrocities, which keep getting swept under the rug because they are revered by the adoring public. Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) recruits The Boys who have all been wronged by The Seven, the world’s most notorious superheroes, to bring them down and stop the corruption.

At the end of season one, we found out that a chemical called Compound V could engineer superhumans rather than have it happen naturally. Homelander (Anthony Starr) secretly took the Compound V to make superhuman villains, you know, to keep it interesting for the public. Also, Butcher’s wife’s death at the hand of Homelander had been what was driving him. However, he found out that not only is his wife not dead but she wasn’t sexually assaulted by Homelander and she had a child with him.

In the beginning of the new  The Boys trailer, it seems in picks up right where season two left off, we see Homelander coming in for a landing with a face seemingly covered in blood. Is he meeting his son? Then the trailer takes off at a break neck pace and a cool score. There’s a lot coming at you and it is all very exciting. There’s a tremendous amount of gore, flipping birds, guns, laughs and screams. Oh yeah, there’s also Homelander drinking breast milk because he’s nuts and Butcher drinking the hard stuff because he’s, well, he’s Butcher.

Returning in addition to Urban and Starr are Elisabeth Shue, Laz Alonso, Jack QuaidKaren Fukuhara, Tomer Kapon, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Jessie Usher, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchel, Jennifer Esposito, Giancarlo Esposito and Simon Pegg.

The series is based on the comic book by Garth Ennis (Preacher) and Darick Robertson and was created for television by Supernatural creator Eric KripkeAdding to that nice line-up of creators, the series is directed by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen who previously teamed up for Preacher.
