A hero is born. IGN Fan Fest brought about a slew of wonderful surprises in the pop culture realm including an exclusive five-minute clip of Amazon Prime’s Invincible! The upcoming Robert Kirkman animated outing also had a panel with cast members.

Invincible tells the story of teenager Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun), whose father Omni-Man (voiced by J.K. Simmons) is the strongest superhero in the world. As Mark develops his own burgeoning powers, he delves into his father’s convoluted legacy. Along the way, he teams up with Atom Eve (voiced by Gillian Jacobs), Rex Splode (voiced by Jason Mantzoukas), Dupli-Kate (voiced by Malese Jow) and Robot (voiced by Zachary Quinto).

Now, the clip below illustrates Mark’s struggle to gain his abilities. His father joins the Guardians of the Globe in preventing the Mauler Twins from assassinating the president. Omni-Man and Mark’s mother, Debbie (voiced by Sandra Oh), decide to fly away for a romantic tête-à-tête. Meanwhile, Mark stands up to a bully at school who’s harassing Amber Bennet (voiced by Zazie Beetz), much to his friend William Clockwell’s (voiced by Andrew Rannells) dismay. Later in the sneak peek, we see Mark at his part-time job as a fast-food employee. He’s lugging around hefty trash bags. Suddenly, he’s able to throw one with ease. His powers hath arrived!

You can check out the Invincible exclusive clip below. Invincible will soar onto Amazon Prime for the first three one-hour episodes on Friday, March 26.
