The official description declares “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.” Alien: Earth takes place 30 years before the events of the original Alien film. As a result, events should occur around those of 2012’s Prometheus. While it was only released last month, Alien: Romulus, on the other hand, takes place 20 years after the 1979 original.
Who’s Involved
The cast for Alien: Earth includes Sydney Chandler of Don’t Worry Darling in the lead role as Wendy. Also appearing are Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Kit Young and Adarsh Gourav. Noah Hawley, creator and director of Legion, will direct the series. He’s an FX regular, with his Emmy-winning show Fargo wrapping its fifth season earlier this year. According to Deadline, FX boss John Landgraf said the upcoming series is a “big imaginative reimagining” of the franchise, and that it’s designed to be an ongoing series.

The Terrifying Teaser
The 10-second teaser shows Earth seen from space before it switches to a reflection on a Xenomorph’s head. The Xenomorph looks up quickly – it’s definitely angry, and something nasty is dripping from its sharp teeth. It lets out a shriek as the show’s logo appears on screen. While it’s just a quick clip, Alien: Earth already looks terrifying.
Alien: Earth will stream on Hulu in 2025. Check out the teaser for yourself, then let us know what you think below.
