On last week’s Agent Carter, Peggy fell onto some concrete blocks and rebar and punctured her stomach. Agent Sousa’s (Enver Gjokaj) finance was able to save her just in time, being the nurse that she is, but it has still left Peggy in no condition to fight or run or go under cover in any way.
Which is unfortunate, because it appears that Peggy’s current love interest, Dr. Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin), has designed a containment unit to stabilize himself, but he needs some “Zero Matter” to do so. This will require Peggy to attend a fundraiser that Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett)will be at because they can steal some of the Zero Matter off of her body.
But, as Sousa points out, neither one of them are in any condition to attend the ball and run away, especially with Peggy being as recognizable as she is. The complication, as Sousa says, is that “We can’t trust anyone at the SSR” and, what they need, “is a highly skilled unknown face who can blend in with the glamor and throw down in the gutter” and they have no one but Peggy who can pull that off.
And that’s when Peggy has her terrible idea. And, we know from the trailers for the episode that her terrible idea is to somehow recruit Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan), one of her biggest arch-nemeses, to help her out. There is no love lost between these two women, who are always at each other’s throats, but Dottie is pretty much the Nega-Peggy, her exact equal in every way — but for evil.
When Peggy realizes she cannot save Wilkes on her own, she turns to her most unexpected adversary for help while Whitney makes a move to control the deadly Zero Matter.
“Life of the Party” airs Tuesday, February 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EST) on the ABC Television Network.
