Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been on every fan’s mind. With cover features, sneak peaks and more building up to the release in December, one element has been on the quiet side. Adam Driver as Kylo Ren. We recently heard a small bit about him in the EW articles, but not much outside of that. But finally we’re hearing from Driver himself.

In a long video interview with Today, Driver spoke about his past and his career that’s led him to the roles he’s been playing. But it’s noted that his biggest role has been the villain in the latest saga films. And because of it, he’s no longer able to hide. He playfully mentions that it “sucks” to be noticed on the streets now, only to say he’s kidding. But with his role, his character has garnered a whole lot of love and a whole lot of hate for his actions in The Force Awakens. So what of The Last Jedi? Driver was asked without giving away plot to tell if fans will be happy with Kylo Ren’s fate.

God, I hope. I mean I hope, I hope they will. I hope. [laughs]. I think it’ll be, I mean, hopefully unexpected.

Unexpected, hmm? How unexpected can we be? We have seen a dark side user come back to the light. Will we see it again? Will we see a harnessing of the dark while coming to join forces with the Resistance? We’ll see. One theory floating around is a pairing between Rey and Kylo Ren. Hints have been given of their deeper connection but we’ve only see the surface. Maybe this will be unexpected to fans for a villain to find love in a hero. We will have to wait and see come December.

What do you think of Adam Driver’s comments? Are you looking forward to more Kylo Ren? Let us know. Check out the full interview below and be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Star Wars news! The Last Jedi will be in theaters December 15th.
