Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season six is only a few weeks away. released the synopsis of the premiere episode titled, “Missing Pieces.” Could those missing pieces be missing team members?

“Missing Pieces” – Scattered across the galaxy, the team works to find their footing in the wake of losing Coulson in the spectacular Season 6 premiere of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming season.

Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) is dead. Fans got the first look at season six released back in January, confirming Coulson’s death in the first few seconds of the trailer. There is a Coulson doppelganger out there known as Sarge. Who is he? Where did he come from? And why does he look like Phil Coulson?

Agent Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (Henry Simmons) is the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Very fitting since he has no problem saying ‘no.’ He along with Agents Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) and Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) return to Earth to restart S.H.I.E.L.D. Someone has to defend the world full time.

That leaves Agents Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Daisy Johnson/Quake (Chloe Bennet) to find Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker). Fitz is floating around somewhere in space. The team initially set out to find him at the end of season five, (because there is no Simmons without Fitz). Besides, they just met their grandson Deke Shaw (Jeff Ward).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC on Friday, May 10th.
