Fear the Walking Dead is set to return next month. AMC released the first trailer for the return and it’s intense. There’s a lot going on in this trailer, but the real exciting part is the last few seconds. We also have the key art for the second half of season seven.
When the first half of the season ended, Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) declared war on Victor Strand (Colman Domingo). She’s also dying. Alicia was bitten on her hand by a walker. Even though someone was able to cut off her hand, they didn’t get the infection in time. So, now Alicia is slowly dying. She is also hearing voices, supposedly leading her to Padre. Padre is supposed to be a refuge with plenty of supplies, but no one really knows where it is or if it really exists.
Morgan (Lennie James) tried to help Alicia find Padre, but he had issues of his own with Victor. Victor created his utopia and is highly selective about who gets to enjoy it with him. Morgan is not on that short list. But half of Morgan’s family is, including Grace (Karen David) and Baby Mo. Morgan’s only objective is to reunite his family and find a safe place for them to live. Victor is a threat to that because … well … he’s Victor Strand.

In the trailer, there is a lot going on with Alicia. She continues to hear the voices leading her to Padre, while fighting the war against Victor. Battlelines are clearly drawn, but Morgan and Alicia have to be careful because their people are still inside the tower. One way or another, the tower appears to fall. But it’s the last few seconds of the trailer that is the most exciting. The return of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens). How did she survive? Where has she been? And who is controlling who she is now? And will she reunite with Alicia before her death? Watch the trailer below and check out the key art below.
Synopsis:
In the second half of Season 7, months have passed after the nuclear blast and the only one thriving is Victor Strand. Having built a fiefdom, he callously selects who will have a chance at life. The other members of the group have suffered immensely, but out of that, has come a fierce determination to live, even if it means taking Strand’s Tower by force and continuing the search for Padre, a mythical place no one is sure really exists.
