In what will only be his third convention appearance ever, David Tennant will be appearing at Wizard World Philadelphia this May, according to an announcement from this weekend. But wait, as if David Tennant wasn’t enough to get your Sonic Screwdriver going, he’s appearing with co-star Billie Piper for the first time in a very long time. You may remember Ms. Piper as Rose Tyler, the Doctor’s companion for three seasons of the BBC’s hit series, Doctor Who.
Billie Piper has gone on to star in Penny Dreadful, so if you’re a star of that show, you should be at this convention. Her schedule only allows her to attend the convention on Sunday, so if you want to see this special first reunion panel, that’s when it will be.
Mr. Tennant has gone on to star in another great BBC show, Broadchurch, and was recently announced to be playing the role of Killgrave in the Marvel/Netflix series, A.K.A. Jessica Jones. It’s not confirmed 100% that his role is that of “Purple Man,” but Purple Man’s real name is Zebediah Kilgrave, so it’s 99.99% a sure thing.
So Marvel and Doctor Who fans will be in for quite a treat come May.
