Game of Thrones season 7 is coming.  Winter is here.  And, there’s a whole lot to think about as we enter the final episodes of the series.  The fine folks at ReelGood.com have put some of their theories into a nice little video for us to consume.  As a super fan of the books and the show, I happen to agree with several of them.

We are past the books now, which couldn’t be more exciting, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still informing the narrative.  In fact, the people at ReelGood have done their research, and their theories reference much of what we’ve learned in the books.   There are a few theories there that have been speculated on quite a lot.  One of my favorites is that Tyrion is a Targaryen.  It makes sense.  There’s brief mention in The World of Ice and Fire companion book that the Mad King had a thing for Joanna Lannister (Tyrion’s mother), and ‘took unwonted liberties’ during her bedding ceremony… making an already horrific construct even worse. But, there you go. We need a third dragon.  Tyrion is a bit of a dragon whisperer as we witnessed in the show, and it all lines up. Bring it.

I’m also a fan of ReelGood’s theory about Bran. I hadn’t considered it before, but YES. It makes so much sense. I’ll let you see for yourself. Buckle up. The great war has begun.

Game of Thrones season 7 premieres on HBO July 16th.
