Are There Any Grand Theft Auto V cars in Real Life?
If you crave the burst of adrenaline that comes from driving the high-end cars in Grand Theft Auto V, then there is hope for you. While the names of the vehicles are modified in the GTA V world, the designs are undeniably drawn from real-world sports cars. There are quite a few Grand Theft Auto V cars that have real-life counterparts. Here are some examples:
- BMW 328i Cabrio: BMW has a reputation for quality, consumer confidence, style, and distinction, and the BMW 328i Cabrio is no exception. This luxury sedan is part of BMW’s renowned 3 series. It’s known for its spacious cabin, impressive performance, and sleek handling abilities. In the Grand Theft Auto universe, BMW is known as Übermacht, which is German for “supremacy” or “superior.”
- Chevrolet Corvette C2: In the GTA V world, this car is known as the Coquette Classic. It bears a striking resemblance to the Chevrolet Corvette C2, with a front end influenced by the Chevrolet Corvette C3. There are also vintage elements from the 1963 Corvette Stingray, such as the “split” between the windows rather than the more common bubble hatch.
- Lamborghini Terzo Millennio: In Grand Theft Auto Online, the Pegassi Tezeract is an electric concept car that is strongly influenced by the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio with touches of style from the SRT Tomahawk. The Terzo Millennio (which translates to “Third Millennium” in Italian) is a futuristic electric vehicle developed through a collaboration of Lamborghini and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It is rumored to be priced at $2,500,000 with a top speed of 218 mph! The GTA equivalent of this avant-garde vehicle commands a hefty price tag of $2,825,000.
- Tesla Roadster: In Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, the Coil Voltic is inspired by the 2008-12 Tesla Roadster and Lotus Elise as well as hints of styling from the Hennessey Venom GT. The Legendary Motorsport description offers a lighthearted description of the Coil Voltic: “The Voltic was the first highway-capable, all-electric sports car on the market in the United States. Boasts a battery life shorter than your iFruit phone so that you can still call a cab home when you grind to a halt in the middle of nowhere.”
What Are the Best Video Game Spaceships?
Of course, this question is entirely subjective. There are definitely fan favorites from beloved video games such as Mass Effect, the Final Fantasy franchise, Halo, and Star Wars. Let’s take a look at some of the legendary video game spaceships that players were thrilled to pilot:
- Normandy SR-2: The Normandy SR-2 is a starship from the Mass Effect universe. Serving as Commander Shepard’s base of operations, this sleek and powerful ship is equipped with an cutting-edge array of technology such as Javelin disruptor torpedo launchers, a Thanix Magnetic-Hydrodynamic Weapon, kinetic barriers, a Tantalus Drive Core, and an AI called EDI, which stands for Enhanced Defense Intelligence.
- UNSC Infinity: The UNSC Infinity serves as the ceremonial flagship for the United Nations Space Command in the Halo universe. It was built in secret using technology recovered from Covenant and Forerunner sources. Due to its mammoth size, it is manned with a crew of more than 17,000 members of the United Nations Space Command. Some of the formidable features that the UNSC Infinity is equipped with include titanium-A3 armor, a city-sized fusion engine module that took more than 15 years to design, a Forerunner-tech holographic imaging suite, and four 27-meter bore CR-03, Series-8 magnetic accelerator cannons.
- Ebon Hawk: The Ebon Hawk is an iconic smuggler ship from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It has changed hands many times, serving a variety of both heroic and nefarious purposes. Its original systems and armaments were heavily modified throughout its colorful history, including an overpowered engine, military-grade deflector shield generators, an upgraded sublight drive, and dual turbolaser turrets.
