EW has once again been graced by the Star Wars gods. This time, we’re going to get another heavy dose of The Last Jedi insight but before all of that goodness happens, we have some covers. And yes it’s plural because there’s 4 of them with significant relationship pairings. And you’ll notice one pair is Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Let’s talk about these.
First up, let’s talk about Rey and Kylo’s cover. The big tagline is “Could Rey Fall to the Dark Side?” with both characters and their lightsabers. And to simply answer that question – yes, she could. But will she truly fall? We will be exploring their volatile relationship in the upcoming film when Luke Sykwalker (Mark Hamill) seemingly abandons her. Other than that, we get another great look at Kylo Ren’s new costume and a very cool edit of them standing together.
Next up we have Luke and Leia (Carrie Fisher), breaking my heart into a million pieces. Their tagline furthers this by asking “Will Luke and Leia Reunite?” and my answer is THEY BETTER! But more specifically, it would be criminal if these two characters don’t unite one more time together. Space Twins forever!

Our next cover shows off Finn (John Boyega) and Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran) with an appearance by the love of my life, BB-8. “Can Finn Get His Mojo Back?” is what they ask and quite frankly, if it’s the Austin Powers version, I don’t want to know. But in all seriousness, Finn needs to gain his confidence back. And with Rose at his side, he may be able to do so. Plus, more Rose is always a good thing!
Our last cover gives us an appearance by a brand new character – Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo (Laura Dern). She will apparently become Poe Dameron’s (Oscar Isaac) new boss and he wants nothing to do with it. “Can Poe Get Along with His New Boss?” we learn that both Poe and Amilyn learned everything from Leia and yet they can’t get along. Interesting!
Throughout the week we’ll be getting more information regarding these stories. The covers are incredible and I have to note the small BB-9E decorating each one. Be sure to check out the images below and let us know what you think! Tune into Geek Girl Authority for more The Last Jedi news before the film debuts on December 15th.
