Here’s the good news: the final trailer for Netflix’s 3 Body Problem has arrived. But there’s bad news, too. Earth’s invasion by extraterrestrials already began decades ago. But at least the upcoming science-fiction streaming series features a star-studded cast alongside the sinister threat to humanity from beyond the stars. However, can our already fragmented species survive first contact with these aliens?

The 3 Body Problem Trailer

Netflix’s 3 Body Problem is adapted from the Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy of prose novels by Cixin Liu. The show’s title is similar but distinct from the name of the first book, The Three-Body Problem. The first and final books in the trilogy were translated into English by Ken Liu, while the second was translated by Joel Martinsen.

While counting down to the show’s debut, you may be interested in checking out the source material. Fortunately, an audiobook of the first novel read by series star Chao has been released. However, as hinted by the trailer (which you can watch below), the Netflix adaptation is designed to be accessible whether you’ve read the books or not.
