According to Amy Pascal, the 2019 sequel to Spider-Man, which hits theatres in just one week, will take place just a few minutes after the currently untitled Avengers 4.

What does this even mean!?

As she said to Fandom

“What I think we should focus on is this Spider-Man who started in Civil War and then has this movie, and then will be in the Avengers movie. And we are starting now the next one which will start a few minutes after Avengers 4 wraps as a story.”

We don’t really know and it’s really a bit impossible to tell because we know virtually nothing about that fourth Avengers film. In fact, we know very little about Avengers: Infinity War beyond who’s starring in it and the threat that super duper big bad Thanos (Josh Brolin) presents to our mightiest heroes. With so much possible in Infinity War, including the threat of completely changing all of reality, it’s entirely possible that the world we see post Avengers Four will not resemble anything we currently know about the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

So to say that the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel takes place just minutes after the events of that film is intriguing on a few different levels, especially when you consider that the sequel, by its very design, is supposed to explore Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) very rookie perspective on this whole “superhero” thing. After all, he’s new to this world of superpowers and already he’s being thrown into cosmic level battles. From reality-altering, time-traveling, space-faring battles with cosmic demi-gods straight back into the boroughs of New York City and the hallways of a science-minded high school — that’s Spider-Man: Homecoming 2.

Color us interested.
