100 Dino Cats

If that name doesn’t excite you, you lie to yourself. 100 Dino Cats mixes life’s best things: cats, dinos and puzzle mechanics. Explore the delightfully illustrated black-and-white world set in an enchanting backdrop with a lively soundtrack. Developer 100 Cozy Games has a lot more like this if you love it, too.

The Basics

Let’s get down to the basics. 100 Dino Cats is a relaxing hidden objects game that has you hunting felines through a hand-drawn among giants from the past. It reminds me of 100 Hidden Frogs regarding the play style and time needed to complete the puzzle. The cats will change color as you click to uncover them, and each achievement will pop up with the name of the found feline.

The gameplay is as simple as point and click, but there are a few tips to remember when starting. Firstly, the whole map won’t fit on your screen, so you must scroll down. I figured this out by accident and was happily surprised to see more of the illustration.

The next tip is that you can zoom in. I strained my eyes trying to peep at all the kitties hiding around the city for nothing before I found this out. My computer monitor is a touch screen, so I just pinched the screen to zoom in, but if you are using a mouse, I would try the trackball.

Why Should I Play?

Why should you play 100 Dino Cats? I’d suggest these games to literally anyone. The gameplay is easy to pick up, fun to play and free. I play these games with my youngest, and we love learning all the unique names of the cats as we uncover their hiding spaces.
