Lore Olympus

How can we talk about romance webtoons and not talk about Rachel Smythe‘s Lore Olympus? This stylish modern-day retelling of The Taking of Persephone dives into the lives of Greek gods and goddesses. More importantly, their lives, after dark. We get the chance to see the friendship and lies, wild parties and of course, forbidden love. Watching as Persephone and Hades’ romance bloom and unboxing the rest of the gods’ gossip is one of the highlights of my week.

Mage & Demon Queen

In Color_LESMage & Demon Queen, adventurers seek to take the demon queen’s head. However, Marloi Crowett only wants one thing from the Demon Queen Velverosa. Her heart. And even though Velverosa keeps sending the poor mage back to the respawn cathedral, Marloi has no thoughts of giving up. We also can’t forget to mention that she is one of the most powerful students and an extremely high level in this RPG world. Let’s hope Velverosa finally lets the lady take her on a date!

Really, how important is one’s appearance? In Lee Yeon‘s Webtoon The Makeup Remover, Yeseul has been told her whole life to focus on studying. When she heads off to college, she suddenly realizes how lost she is when it comes to makeup. She has a chance encounter with makeup guru Yuseong and it leads her to take part in a makeup competition on TV. Through this, Yeseul begins questioning the role that makeup and appearance play in society.
